U3A State Conference, 2010—An Invitation

Learning with Friendship Your Host: Nepean–Blue Mountains–Chifley Chapter Inc We look forward to welcoming you to the Penrith, Blue Mountains and Hawkesbury Regions.

2010 will be the 21st anniversary of the formation of the Nepean–Blue Mountains–Chifley Chapter Inc. We look forward to sharing these celebrations, here in Penrith, with all other visiting U3As.

As part of Western Sydney, the Penrith Valley is alive with tourism facilities, offering excitement for the whole family.

The Conference will be held over two days, 9th and 10th March 2010 at the Penrith RSL Club, 8 Tindale Street, Penrith.

The daily cost will be $49.00 per person and will include morning and afternoon tea or coffee, and lunch.

The Conference dinner will be held on Tuesday 9thy March at the Penrith RSL Club commencing at 6.30 pm. The cost will be $49.00 per person. Entertainment and door prizes will be provided.

• The opening address will be given by Her Excellency, the Governor of NSW – Professor Marie Bashir.
• The main guest speaker will be Noeline Brown, international star of screen and television and the Australian Ambassador for Ageing.
• The official programme will be issued in September 2009.
• We anticipate that in addition to the NSW State Council AGM we will be presenting the choice of 7 workshops and 5 guest speakers over the two days.
• There will also be lots of happy moments available to create new friendships, renew old ones and chat with other U3A members.

• On Tuesday 9th March 2010 the registration period will be from 8.00 am to 9.00 am.
• On Wednesday 10th March 2010 the registration period will be from 8.00 am to 9.00 am.

Car: The M4 Motorway and the Great Western Highway lead to Penrith Valley.

Train: Penrith can be accessed through the Western Train Line Timetable and the Blue Mountains Line Timetable. Penrith has daily direct rail services to and from the major cities and towns of Central Western NSW. Information line: Tel. 131500.
