A New Perspective for Family Therapy
Phill Hill will start this new course at Penrith School of Arts on Mondays at 10.00am to 11.30am starting 15th October. Phill writes: “A New Perspective for Family Therapy is the name of a book which looks at family therapy and which we will be studying. It looks at a way of thinking that explores human behaviour in a family context. We will be exploring such questions as "How do you transform a way of thinking into a way of doing?" "Should concern be limited to families, or should we consider broader contexts when thinking about human behaviour in the family context?"
We will be thinking about a more expanded focus, opening our windows, so to speak, by considering complexity and the systems that are at work in families."
If you are interested in this course, please contact Phill - Tel: 4739 4810 Email: j_phill@bigpond.net.au .

Hi Alan,
I have only just now discovered this. Perhaps you already knew.
I knew tadaust had a $5.50 a month dial up plan.
I did not know they also provided free internet. You only have to transfer your Home Phone to TADAust Connect, and then there is no charge for a dial up connection.
                 https://www.tadaustconnect.org.au/dialup/freeoffer.html

Committee News

Robert Byrne has applied on behalf of U3A for a Telstra Connected Seniors Grant to obtain a Data Projector, Wireless Notebook PC and Broadband Service Access. The committee wishes to thank Rob for all his hard work in putting this application together and we are all keeping our fingers crossed for its success.

Helen Mayhew is preparing the 2008 Handbook for printing with assistance from some members of the Committee.

The Daily Schedule of Classes shown on our website will include Tutors’ telephone numbers. The reasons are that Tutors’ telephone numbers are published in the Handbook and on printed copies of the Daily Schedule of Classes. It is also a nuisance for members and potential member to phone up our Office to get a tutor’s telephone number – especially when the Office is frequently closed. (We need more Office volunteers.) If tutors object to their telephone number being shown on our website, please contact Alan Lees and their number will be removed from the website.

The Daily Schedule of Classes shown on our website includes class photographs (for some courses). If you would like your class photograph shown on our website, please email one to Alan Lees.

Lloyd Fell advised that the Lawson Rural Fire Brigade hall is scheduled for demolition and we may have to seek an alternative location. However, we are assuming that we can still use the premises for some time into 2008.

The Committee decided the 2008 dates for U3A Enrolments and the Terms:
Enrolment at Lawson Neighbourhood Centre on Wednesday 16th January, 2008.
Enrolment at Penrith School of Arts on Friday 18th January, 2008.

1st Term - 4 February to 11th April
2nd Term – 28th April to 4th July
3rd Term – 21st July to 26th September
4th Term – 13th October to 19th December

The next Committee Meeting will be on Tuesday 16th October
