Whoever said, "They don't make 'em like they used to" may well have had this classic skit by Bud Abbott and Lou Costello in mind.
It's more than fifty years since Lou succumbed to a heart attack at age 52 and it may have been the frustration he showed in performing acts like this one that contributed to it. Bud, who was born in the barely-remembered 19th century, lived sixteen years after his partner and died in 1974. But although these two wonderful comedians have passed on their talent will keep them fresh in our memories.
Who's On First? is their most famous performance and is still as funny as it ever was. Try it out on your kids: mine love it. I'm not sure about grandkids, though—but then, mine are all teenagers.
